| UPGRADING |

If you are sure that your flute can no longer attain the sound you wanted because of your improved ability and may not afford to buy a new flute, one common alternative nowadays is to change your head joint. Even for high end flutes that lacks fullness of sound and proper response from low to high register, we suggest try our head joints. We have head joints in wood, gold and silver.
Most affordable upgrading that we offer is changing the lip plate. Professional model flutes are benefiting a lot from my designed lip plate. However, if the parabolic design of your head tube is not good, we recommend that new drawing with it be done provided its wall thickness still permits. |

ALTERATIONS / RESTORATIONS |

We do alterations like adding an e-mechanism, gizmo key, longer g-sharp key, conversion to open g#/ reverse thumb keys, or vice-versa, adding rollers to the foot joint keys and other modifications as requested by the flutist. We can also replace damaged parts like cups, post, even the body tube. Please call or write for quotes. |

| RETUNING |

For older flutes with the traditional Boehm scale/schema, the soldered tone holes may be moved and adjusted to measurements and patterns of the modern scale flute. For drawn tone hole flutes, however, the whole tube must be changed. |

ENGRAVING |

We do simple engraving for personalized head joint and lip plate. Engravings give your head joint its own unique characteristic beauty. Lip plate engravings also help prevent slippage of the head joint while playing. Designs available upon request. |
